HP Sucks
I have an HP Pavillion tx1115nr Entertainment Notebook PC. I just bought out around a year ago, thinking that I had made a great deal. Now, 12 months later, my wireless adapter suddenly stops working. I try to call HP and their customer support.
Some dillhole from India picked up and made me go through all this crap, like providing him my e-mail address, phone number, serial/product number, and my name before telling me that he couldn’t provide any of his bullshit customer support because my warranty had expired 47 days ago. Let me tell you something, HP. Screw you. Buying your laptop was the biggest mistake I’ve ever made in terms of products. It’s a god damn tablet PC, but now I’m forced to hook it up to a cable because your Bolivian-made wireless network adapter sucks.
That, and your so called “24/7″ chat isn’t working. It’s just showing this message:
<!– lines for testing only error ‘80004005′
Unspecified error
/ipgna/caller/chat.asp, line 37
These guys should be ashamed of themselves, by the way, I’m not the only person who’s blogged/ranted about this issue. Apparently there’s hundreds of people flooding the HP forums because of their network adapters.
Long story short: despite the hundreds of messages on their support forums, they keep tight-lipped hoping that their warranties will expire before HP has to go through the extensive job of fixing their mistakes, ie: buying new motherboards for all the complaints.
I used to think Acers sucked. I used to think eMachines sucked. No, they don’t suck at all. What sucks is HP. They can go take their live support and stuffit.

And no, I’m not even linking to HP. They are not deserving of that.

http://www.tutorialfx.com - this has got to be the most awesome site design I’ve seen in years. I mean, seriously, during the time that I was on the site, I had my own copy of Photoshop running, and I got majorly confused.
What makes this site so awesome is that it’s design actually corresponds to what it offers visitors; Photoshop tutorials and resources. The search box is just ingenious.
Just thought I’d throw it out there, heh. List of 20 more sites with ingenious designs coming up.
Midnight Thoughts
I present to you something new. Something original.
Midnight Thoughts is where I right in the middle of the night, basically. Yes, that’s what it is. Right now, I’m compelled to do something useful, but I can’t. Eager to create, to produce, but out of energy, tired and depressed. So, I’ll just vent all of my random ideas into this blog.
- Starcraft
- WoW
- MySpace something
- Gaming
- Grunge
- Smashing Magazine
- Warboards
- Cleaning up my Room
- Redesign Cougron
- Space Designs
- Research political candidates
- Organize my computer
- Logamation
- Photoshop
- Flash
- iTunes
I think that’s all that’s going through my mind right now.
[Link] : The best Online Music Player
No, it’s not the too-famouse projectplaylist.com (although it’s notable) I’m talking about Finetune. Never heard of it? Good, here you get to read about it. It’s funny how people discover things, the way I stumbled on this was while reading my PC Magazine issue for March. There was an article written by Eric Griffith: Supercharge Windows. It instructed me to download Adobe AIR. I did, and finetune was featured on the frontpage of AIR.
Strange, and a bit redundant, I know. But anyways, FineTunes rocks, literally. It requires a simple sign-up, and then you can build your playlist and start jammin. (No e-mail verification crap!)
The Advantages:
- Before you can listen, you must first create your 1st playlist and have at least 45 songs in it
- You can listen to 30 second snippets of songs
- It has a great tagging and related artists system
- The music player and navigation remain static the whole time, and never have to be reloaded the entire time you’re on the site.
- Allows a standalone player
And now, the disadvantages
- It’s an online music player, so if you have dial-up, it’s pretty much useless
- You can’t play any other streaming media while it’s playing
And those are pretty much it…if my laptop weren’t so big, I swear my iPod would’ve been useless.
[Link] : Flash Interface Tutorial
The renowned flash tutorial site, Lukamaras, is skilled in creating flash-interface rivaling those made in Photoshop. Yes, that’s right, all the tutorials require only one program: Flash 8 or higher. So fire up your smart sketchers and follow these tutorials. He’s had some really outstanding tuts, the ones I’ve used in the past:
There’s many more, but those were the one I actually followed through and completed.
Earth Battle
Today, on February 29, 2008 I stumbled upon some graphics in DeviantArt. Well, actually it was just one graphic, but it immediately sapped me into an image of the other. This` daily deviation was the one I saw on the front page. I immediately thought of this` one as well. Viewed both of them? Good, because now you get to vote for one.
What’s up?
Hi, my name is Marc Dandoy and I’m your generic Asian Guy. Technically, I’m supposed to be a pacific islander, but I guess some evil executive making all the rules decided to create Philippines as part of Asia, but hey, who gives a fart. Now, please take this into consideration: I’m a very patriotic Filipino, so I may get overzealous at times. Please bear with me during those times, I take pride in my nationality. And are you wondering what it looks like, well, it’s off the Southern coast of China, and here’s a Physical map.
Yeah, the Philippines are a floating chain of Islands east of the Eurasian Plate, blah blah blah, this isn’t History class, and I’m not really all that willing to blabber on about how great my country is. Moving on to a different topic: myself. Yeah, well, there’s a lot of things interesting about me. First of all, I’m 13 years old with a blog. I’m skilled in HTML, CSS and Actionscript, as well as Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, the Microsoft Office Suite, and various other third-party programs. Don’t get me wrong, I truly enjoy videogames, especially online FPS and RTS games. On the top of my list is Warhawk, Starcraft, Supreme Commander, Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, and various other games I haven’t thought of yet. My favorite type of music is anything not crappy, or extremely girly. My favorite rockband of all time is Greenday, followed by Sum 41, Zebrahead, and Fall Out Boy. Rap music’s cool too, but I don’t really dedicate my time hunting down good rap songs. I like to spend my spare time chillin with friends, looking up history, and ranting about how my life sucks. Why start a blog just now? I’m not sure, I guess I hadn’t really had the time up until now.
By the way, here’s another random-yet-awesome picture of the Philippines. It’s insanely awesome, I know. A damn shame I don’t live there anymore; I’m in America. I look forward to the vacation, though ^^ Promise I’ll post up pictures of how much fun I had. Anyways, expect to read rants about my asian life, the hardships, the funships, and the boring-ships. By the way, I just remembered I have Algebra Homework, darn you school! Looks like I’ll have to go now (wow, redundant) so I guess I’ll have to end it and publish, no? By the way, I also have YouTube videos, but don’t look them up. >.<
